An avid pilot for nearly 40 years, Mike is on a mission to serve — whether that’s helping people retire or flying sick kiddos to a children's hospital.

Hundreds of clients throughout the Rockies consider Mike their co-pilot, helping them prepare for landing in retirement, even in a challenging market environment. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mike passed his S65 in 2001, becoming an investment adviser representative, and then went on to earn his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2002. Mike also holds insurance licenses in several states.

“At heart, I’m a teacher,” Mike says. “I want my clients to feel seen and heard — not herded toward a certain product.”

He also wants his clients to understand his investment in their financial well-being "It's your money," Mike tells his clients, "but your finical strategy is our problem to address and we can work together to create a more desirable plan."

Mike and his wife, Renee, have been married for over 30 years and enjoy spending time with their three adult children and six grandchildren. In his free time, Mike enjoys flying, camping, fishing, sailing and motorcycle riding.

What’s more, Mike is a longtime volunteer for Pilots for Christ-Wyoming and uses his Piper Twin Comanche to fly children and adults in need of transportation to medical specialists across the country.

“You wouldn’t want to fly somewhere without a clear flight plan,” Mike says. “The same goes for your retirement plan.”

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP® in the U.S., which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
